Coolangatta is Queensland’s southernmost town and the gateway to the Gold Coast. Coolangatta is located just minutes away from the spectacular beaches and famous surf breaks of Coolangatta Beach. Visitors flock to the Southern Gold Coast for its beaches, beauty, and events.  The surf here is spectacular, particularly off the northern corner of Coolangatta Beach, the headland around Greenmount, Snapper Rocks into the southern corner of Rainbow Bay and of course, the world-class surf break of Duranbah. The Quicksilver Pro Gold Coast (World Surfing Tour) event is held every year during February.

If you happen to be visiting during the month of June, Coolangatta hosts the Cooly Rocks On Festival, a week long 1950s and 1960s nostalgia festival with free entertainment and attractions, restored cars, hot rods and revival bands playing music from the era. Hog’s Australia’s Steakhouse is right in the heart of the rock n’ roll party atmosphere and this event is not to be missed. During October, the beaches come alive when Coolangatta is home to one of the premier Ironman events in surf lifesaving The Coolangatta Gold.

Hog’s Coolangatta offers the perfect location to relax, unwind and enjoy our trademark Hog’spitality in our chill and upbeat dining environment. On our large outdoor patio,you can look down McDonald Street and see glimpses of the endless view of the Pacific Ocean. Areas of great fun and beauty in our neighbourhood include Coolangatta Beach, Jack Evans Boat Harbour, Tweed River and Pat Fagan Park. Coolangatta is a favourite retreat for families and surfers, and we cater to both!

Come on in for cool drinks, spectacular ice cream desserts and exceptional steaks. We are open from 11:00 am until late, 7 days a week. Kids eat free ALL day on Monday and Tuesday (with a main meal purchase over $20). If you want to have your dinner for takeaway to enjoy a delicious picnic at Snapper Rocks, we are more than happy for you to call in and get takeaway.
