Hog’s Mooloolaba celebrates 25 Years!
Located in its original building, Hog’s Mooloolaba still sits proudly within the iconic Mooloolaba Wharf. Overlooking the marina, diners are treated to unparalleled views and cooling sea breezes. 25 years ago, the Mooloolaba restaurant was the first franchised store of what is today an 82 restaurant strong company, Hog’s Australia’s Steakhouse.
Sitting and enjoying a mouth-watering great steak or a selection of divine seafood on either of the two levels embodies the idyllic nature of Mooloolaba and the essence of the Hog’s dining experience.
New owners and renowned local restaurateurs Manfred Lorber and Matt Carroll have some exciting plans for the iconic restaurant, all coinciding with a brand new menu launch.
“25 years of operation is a huge milestone for any business, let alone a restaurant. I had my first Prime Rib at “Hoggies” back in 1990,” commented Manfred “I still have the original menu. I would have never thought that I would own this historic restaurant one day!”
“Our new menu direction has a modern approach with innovative salads, healthy options and of course quality steaks. We are a very traditional restaurant – we still bake our mudcake and sticky date pudding in-house!” stated Manfred proudly.
“Many local families would have had their first restaurant birthday party at Hog’s. We are hosting on average 15 birthdays a week. We also employ 30 local staff and support a host of local charities, local schools, events, and sporting teams such as the local Hog’s Mooloolaba Spartans Swim Team, competing at the Rio Olympics 2016.”
Most of all I would like to thank the loyal community for supporting us over the years, without their support we wouldn’t be here today.”
