JOIN HOG'S BREATH CANNON PARK IN CELEBRATING
THE OFFSHORE POWERBOAT SERIES
Townsville will host the second round of the 2007/08 Australian Offshore Powerboat Series with organisers expecting up to 30 powerboats to take part in the four classes reaching speeds of more than 250 km/h!
This year's series is proving to be the most spectacular yet, particularly in the four litre category where Hog's Breath was victorious in the previous series, taking out their fifth straight title. But the team is under a degree of pressure it has not previously experienced; their traditional rivals, Easy Does It, Kwozzy and Shaken Not Stirred are looking more competitive and aiming for more wins in this year's series.
The seasoned veterans of the Hog's Breath crew, Paul Gibbs and Paul Fowlds, who are used to winning reasonably comfortably, have been busy preparing their boat to meet the challenge and maintain their supremacy. "With the competition increasing, we need to do everything we can to stay in front and maintain our winning record," said Hog's Breath throttleman Paul Fowlds.
It all points to action packed days at Townsville Saturday and Sunday September 22nd and 23rd - don't miss it! Hog's Breath Cafe encourages everyone with a love of what many see as "Formula One of the water" to take advantage of the Offshore Powerboat event being in town and get out to experience two days of full on action!
